Doctor's of Emergency Medicine of Illinois or DEMI, was founded in 1991, by a team of emergency medicine physicians. The group was created to increase stability, dependability, and quality of the physicians within the health system's emergency departments. The physician owned, physician-led group provided independence from health care networks and gave the providers the ability to staff the facilities with qualified, board-certified, residency trained emergency medicine physicians.
In 2011, the hospitalist group was created for our hospitals growing needs, providing the system's hospitals, urgent cares, and university medical clinic with providers. Today, many of our emergency and family medicine physicians, and mid-level providers work within the hospital and immediate care clinics to provide superior acute care. Our hospitalist and intensivist/critical care teams are continuing to grow to meet their volumes. We staff and manage our board-certified; internists, critical care specialists, family and emergency medicine physicians, as well as mid-levels providers to assist our client with the right providers to meet their needs.
